Crapo's Reckless Spending

On August 10, 2021 Idaho's United States Senator Mike Crapo joined Chuck Schumer, Nancy Pelosi, and the Democrat party's ongoing reckless spending spree by voting to approve a massive $1,250,000,000,000 (trillion) dollar spending bill. This pork barrel project is just another example of the poor decisions being made in Washington D.C. In fact, only 11 percent of this mislabeled package is actually going to anything “infrastructure” related.

Senator Crapo has tried to pass off this Democrat friendly vote as “good for Idaho." Our state will receive a couple of billion dollars over time, but at what cost? How much of this pork actually benefits Idaho? The two billion dollars that Idaho eventually receives sounds like a lot of money but what is the true cost? $2,000,000,000 billion dollars divided by $1,250,000,000,000 trillion equals 0.16 percent of the total. Put another way, 99.84 percent is being thrown into projects elsewhere. Is this really a good vote for Idaho? This fiscal levitation from Washington will never end unless we vote for new financially responsible leaders.
